Yesterday i had the opportunity to work with Save the children on the Born to walk tall campaign. This collaborated with the announcement of the British Fashion Awards. I was stewarding the nominated designers on the mile walk from Downing street to Somerset House down past the thames. Samantha Cameron was leading the group wearing a save the children Tshirt. Christopher Raeburn and Erdem were my favourite designers at the event. which was followed by drinks in the Somerset House tent with press.

THIS IS NOT CHARITY, THIS IS WORK

A new collection of Vivienne Westwood bags are now available online. Handmade in Nairobi, Kenya, the new collection has been produced in collaboration with The Ethical Fashion Programme. Using recycled materials from roadside advertisement banners and safari tents, each of the three designs have been hand crafted by marginalised communities of women such as single mothers, widows, HIV/AIDS victims and those living in extreme poverty.

I found this blog featuring details of Westwood's trip to Kenya- read more about this 'ethical' collection here http://www.activeresistance.co.uk/ar/?p=923
